After a hugely successful inaugural Meetup event, Sligo Tech is back with the next event taking place this Thursday June 12th at the Digital Hub Sligo.
Sligo Tech meetup is a new meetup aimed at connecting Sligo’s technology community, the people who are making Sligo’s tech scene what it is and those who are interested in keeping up-to-date. It will highlight what’s going on across the North West. The goal is to share best practices and learn from both failure and success. Promote Sligo as a destination for technology companies, start-ups & other innovators. Engage with local young people and inform them of career paths within the digital industries.
This months event will kick off with a Speed Networking session followed by a Talk from Ian Lucey, founder and CEO of Lucey Technology, a cloud computing and web development company with offices in Dublin, London & Milan. Ian is also an angel investor through the Lucey Fund, and has made investments in 18 startups since the funds foundation 26 months ago.
Ian is currently a board member with the Irish Internet Association and was DIT Hothouse Entrepreneur of the Year 2010.
The session will wrap up with drinks and finger food in Kennedy’s Bar.
